If you’re looking for a unique travel experience without having to hop on a plane, Batangas has a new attraction worth checking out soon. Yup, we’re talking about the highly anticipated Montemaria Miracle Walk—the first glass walkway in the Philippines.

Miracle Walk can be found at the Montemaria International Pilgrimage and Conference Center in Barangay Pagkilatan, Batangas City. However, it is not yet open to the public.

In the meantime, here’s what visitors can look forward to.

What to expect at Montemaria Miracle Walk in Batangas

Standing 45 meters above ground and extending 118 meters in length, the Miracle Walk offers visitors a chance to literally step into breathtaking views. Expect panoramic sights of Batangas Bay, the Verde Island Passage, and the surrounding landscapes as you walk along the transparent glass floor.

Don’t worry—the structure is constructed with three-inch-thick glass and reinforced with imported metals for stability. If that’s not enough, there are safety nets underneath the walkway for added protection.

See that middle part in between the walkways? Adrenaline junkies looking for an extra challenge can also take on this separate path that has no railings but has safety harnesses as support.

Montemaria is already a well-known pilgrimage site, thanks to its towering centerpiece—the Mother of All Asia – Tower of Peace, the world’s tallest statue of the Virgin Mary at 98.15 meters. For comparison, it’s even taller than Christ the Redeemer in Brazil! The addition of Miracle Walk brings a modern touch to this revered destination, offering visitors a fresh way to experience the area’s beauty.

The construction of the glass walkway is part of a larger development plan for Montemaria, which includes a hotel, amusement park, marine museum, and other attractions to boost local tourism while keeping the area’s religious roots intact.

How to get to Montemaria Miracle Walk

Montemaria is accessible by car, with a drive from Metro Manila taking about two to three hours. Ample parking spaces are also available at the location.

For those traveling by public transportation, buses bound for Batangas City are the most convenient option. From there, local transport such as jeepneys or tricycles can take you to the site.
